With over 20 years of professional experience, I most recently worked in a leadership capacity with one of the largest community foundations in the world to assist donors with their philanthropy, including how to:

• maximize their contributions and assets

• utilize the best vehicle structures

• connect with organizations in their issue areas and

• create significant impact with their gifts

 

At the California Community Foundation I served as vice president of development and donor relations, leading a team that raised over $800 million USD over 5 years. With $1.5 billion USD in assets, the Foundation specialized in complex giving and strategic grant making. In addition to working with donors and their advisors, I also served on the top level management team, responsible for granting $30M annually to community organizations and establishing the strategic plan to achieve the mission of leading positive system change.

 

Prior to that role I served for several years at the California Institute of Technology, as a member of the management team and leading staff in the areas of planned giving and donor relations.  

 

With the advancement of globalization, there is a paradigm shift occurring in the field of philanthropy -  the global ecosystem of social investing is changing. Ideas pertaining to systemic change, collaboration and place-based philanthropy are shifting rapidly. I am available to help individuals and organization navigate these waters in order to successfully reach their desired destinations.
